Porta Medika – Knowledge for All Living Beings

Porta Medika is a global health education and knowledge initiative supported by Humanitas Foundation e. V. Germany, an independent German non-profit organization established in 2002.

Building on more than two decades of humanitarian, educational and health-related experience, Humanitas Foundation e. V. supports Porta Medika in its mission to make reliable health knowledge, practical experience and responsible approaches to health, prevention and well-being accessible to people around the world.

The name Porta Medika represents a Global Healing Gate – an open gateway through which people can connect, learn, share knowledge and experiences, and discover new perspectives on health, prevention and healing.

One Planet – One Health – One Future

Porta Medika recognizes that human health cannot be separated from the health of animals, plants and the natural environment. The well-being of the Human Kingdom, Animal Kingdom and Plant Kingdom is closely connected. When these three living worlds thrive together, our planet heals and life can flourish.

The platform therefore brings together knowledge relating to:

• human health, prevention and well-being;
• animal welfare, animal health and respect for all living creatures;
